Every minute or hour you put into planning will save you a lot of time and effort in the future. We can save not only hours and days, but whole years of life. A clear, specific and correct plan will help you choose the best fast path to your goal, instead of wandering randomly in the hope of miracles. Of course, good chances and miracles happen, but they must always be prepared, and not just wait.

Is there a plan B?

Each of us has a plan "A", which is an ideal vision of our future. It achieved the desired goals, and you did not have to compromise. But maybe that's not true? After all, if plan A fails, then you will feel terribly bad. Maybe you should draw up a plan "B", "C" and "D" in advance?

Risk hedging is good, but it is often what kills us. The idea is quite logical. But why do you need a back-up plan? This is the plan of the cowardly, the weak, or the lazy. It's hard for you to say what will happen in a year or five years, when you can only imagine it approximately. So plan for large ranges approximately, as if making large strokes of paint when drawing a picture. You will make smaller strokes when the situation is more understandable and definite. In short periods of time, you will apply certain and specific actions that are best suited to a given situation.

Often the cause of failure in planning is the lack of patience in reaching a certain point in the plan, as well as the inability to build causal relationships. Sometimes people are too frivolous about life, do not know how to realistically assess the consequences and are not ready to make consistent efforts.

How to make a plan?

1. The plan should be clear and concise

Often we do not know exactly what we want to achieve. We do not set measurable goals, and therefore achieve nothing in the end. All your plans should be in the form of numbers, facts and graphs. Make the plan as clear and concise as possible so that there is no ambiguity or uncertainty.

  • You want to lose 10 kilograms and make a figure athletic.
  • You dream of earning N thousand dollars a month.
  • You want to do a certain business or work in a certain area.
  • You want to have a certain apartment, a certain car and a certain standard of living.

You must also indicate the specific planning time required to achieve each goal.

2. The plan must be convincing and realistic

Often it is unmarried ladies who have excessive demands on men, making such requests to them that they do not fit even the best powers that be. Usually unmarried singles, especially young ones, always have an erroneous idea of ​​​​reality. But married people can perfectly describe the desired object that they wanted and received.

It turns out that the less experience and more fantasy about the handsome prince, the more generalized and incorrect representation of his dream. So there is very little chance of achieving what you want. The plan must be convincing and realistic, and not look like a naive fantasy of millions of dollars and crazy fame. When dreaming and making plans, do not part with reality, but rather approach it. Determine the options for achieving the desired based on the harsh reality of life.

3. Choose the most important planning

The Pareto principle says that 80% of the result comes from 20% of your efforts, when the remaining 20% ​​of the result comes from the remaining 80% of the effort. What does it say? It specifically says what the plan is for. The plan should cut off unnecessary 80% of unnecessary actions, extraneous interference and meaningless body movements. 5. The plan must be consistent

If in 5 years you should be perfect, but what should be in a year or a month? What kind of lifestyle, income and activities should you have today? What do you need to do every day, how to control deviations and adjust your life? Write down the milestones you need to reach, as well as your specific actions in each area. After that, keep the sequence of your efforts and actions.

6. Adjust your plan constantly

Even the most thoughtful plan can go wrong. You meet a closed door where you expected an open one, or there may be a wall. What to do? Look for workarounds or climb out the window.

It is difficult to foresee everything in life when the situation may change not in your direction. It is impossible to take into account all the risks, surprises of fate and the unpredictability of life. If you see that you do not fit into the plan, then think about changing tactics. If you cannot find a job in six months, can you lower your salary expectations, and first get work experience in this area? Maybe get additional education or look for a new job in another city? 7. Discipline and routine

From childhood we were taught discipline at home, in kindergarten, school, university, army, at work. But often discipline limped throughout life. We love to be lazy too much, but we rarely like to do something according to a plan. You should cultivate discipline and the ability to follow the planned plan for today.

Why do you need a plan if you are not going to carry it out? What do you need to do charmingly today? When you have iron discipline and a clear schedule for the day, then you can achieve what you want.
